Country Director
Role Overview:
The Country Director (CD) provides strategic vision, leadership and high-level national representation for ActionAid International (AAI) in Cambodia, in line with AAI's policies and practices and the country's political, social, cultural and economic context.
The CD leads the development, implementation and evaluation of the ActionAid Cambodia (AAC) Country Strategy Paper (CSP) 2023-2027, ensuring resources are in place to meet performance targets and driving high quality and impactful program delivery and country operations. The CD is accountable for financial integrity, risk management, donor compliance and a diversified, sustainable fundraising base, and leads the Senior Management Team in embedding feminist leadership, safeguarding, and a culture of accountability and inclusion.
The CD champions policy advocacy and external communications to strengthen AAC's profile and influence, and builds partnerships with various actors, including supporting nationalisation and Governance Board development. The role requires strong leadership, organisational change management experience, and the ability to manage large, multi-disciplinary teams with deep knowledge of the country context. The CD embraces the dual identity of an organisation rooted in Cambodia yet part of an international federation.
